School-aged children, who live in Oak Creek Valley, from Kindergarten through High School are welcome to join us for the entire week.  We invite all ages, from newborns to neighbors in their 90's, to join us Monday mornings free of charge. 

We take a holistic approach to learning.  By holistic we mean, experiential, personalized, teacher-guided & self-guided, community centered, strengths-based, and interdisciplinary.  We integrate a head and heart-based model to develop social-emotional and play-based learning. Our multiage group allows children to help children which enhances mastery among the subjects.  Generally speaking, we follow the state's academic standards but do not administer standardized tests. 

For K-5, we utilize a digital complement to our in-person reading and language arts with Lexia Core 5.  We use Khan Academy as a digital supplement to our in-person learning for math, science, language arts and social studies for grades 5-12.   Both of these programs help to identify academic grade levels.  We also utilize the 'Mystery Science' program and 'Teacher-Created Resources'.  We welcome any curriculum that students may already be using and we will integrate those into our learning as well.  We have other resources (including subject specific teachers) we can customize based on the needs of the student.
